Lapsang Souchong – Smoke Meets Pleasure
Smoky black tea meets citrus and whiskey – sounds unusual? It is. And at the same time, incredibly exciting. Because Lapsang Souchong is a true character tea – and the perfect base for a signature cocktail that redefines tea.
What Makes Lapsang Special
Lapsang Souchong comes from the Wuyi Mountains in China and is one of the few teas dried over open pinewood smoke. This gives it a smoky, almost peaty aroma reminiscent of bonfires, smoked wood, and single malt whiskey.
Especially in the food and bar world, Lapsang is increasingly being discovered – as an exciting alternative to smoked salts, smoked paprika, or mezcal. Whether in sauces, rubs, or cocktails: The tea brings depth and elegance.
